Enrolling in preschool is as easy as 1-2-3
All 4-year-olds and some 3-year-olds qualify for some FREE preschool. High-quality preschool sets students up for success in kindergarten. Five Star preschool students get a jump start on literacy, cognition and social skills. Follow the steps below to enroll your child.
Important note: If you have already pre-registered for preschool with Adams 12 Five Star Schools please DO NOT complete an application through the state’s website. We are currently processing your application and will be in touch soon with next steps.

Follow the simple steps below to enroll your child:
Step 1: Apply using the state's Universal Preschool Portal
Apply for a preschool spot using the state's online Universal Preschool Portal.
Step 2: State notifies families where their child has a spot AND Families MUST accept or decline the spot
- The state notifies families where their child has a spot, and families must then accept or decline the spot.
- Families that do nothing, or miss the deadline for accept/decline, their application will continue to be rematched in future rounds until a spot is accepted
Step 3: Online Registration
After you have accepted your match with the state, Adams 12 Five Star Schools will email you information about how to complete your online registration.
