Science Club

(Formerly MESA)  Each year we invite our high academic achieving students to participate in Science Club.  Students are selected based on teacher nominations.  In our club, we learn about a variety of scientific subjects and explore with fun activities and experiments.  This year our students experienced 3 outreach programs from the Denver Museum of Nature and Science including: Rocket Works, Forensic Lab, and Energy & Motion Lab.  We also learned about geology, and energy & motion by making our own rock geode crystals, and building and racing mouse trap cars.  We ended our club by learning about the habitat and life in tropical rainforests.  Our rainforest unit was topped off by our annual overnight field trip; “Bunk with the Beasts” at the Denver Zoo!  We can’t wait to see what next year has in store!
